Benevolent Care

The Benevolent Care Fund helps support residents who have outlived their financial resources and require charitable care. Wesbury residents are never asked to leave due to a lack of financial resources. By supporting our Benevolent Care Fund, you’re helping us to fulfill our Christian mission and vision as we have for over 100 years.

Mission

Wesbury United Methodist Community provides individualized proactive health care and life enrichment services to assist mature adults in maintaining their independence, dignity and spiritual wholeness in a secure, Christian environment.

Profile

Wesbury is a nonprofit, Christian, continuing care retirement community that has served generations of families in the region for over a century. Our goal is to assist residents to be as active and independent for as long as possible at all care levels.

Wesbury’s Care Levels and Services:

• Wesbury’s Independent living section called Thoburn Village is comprised of 64 villas, and16 one and two bedroom apartments.  Wesbury staff members take care of the general maintenance of these units, so a resident doesn’t have to worry about shoveling the driveway, mowing the grass, or repairing the roof. 
• Enhanced Living bridges the gap between Independent Living and needing more support with daily tasks.  The Staff at Cribbs Residential Center assist residents who need a little more support by providing meals, housekeeping and laundry services, transportation and additional personal care assistance if needed.  Personal care for example is assistance with bathing, dressing, medications, etc.  
• Grace Rehabilitation and Health Center is a 210 bed facility for long term care and rehabilitation.  There are private and semi-private accommodations with flexible dining, 24 hr nursing assistance and support, and a variety of life enrichment programs for residents to choose from.  The Short-Term Rehabilitation neighborhood offers private accommodations designed for residents in need of intense therapy in order to return to their home. Annually, 62% of Grace Rehabilitation and Health Center residents are discharged upon healing.
• The Memory Support Center offers a unique environment with specialized programming specially designed for those with Alzheimer’s, Dementia or other related memory impairments.  A team of trained professionals follows a Habilitation Therapy Model, ensuring residents experience a carefully supervised, fulfilling and active lifestyle aimed to stimulate memory and independence. 
• The Wesbury Care Cottage is a residential three bedroom home that offers a maximum of three residents twenty-four/seven, around-the-clock “Help at Home with Wesbury” services to meet their day to day needs. 
• Help at Home with Wesbury provides a collection of convenient, in-home healthcare services designed to allow clients to live in the comforts of their own homes while receiving the personalized services they need to maintain active, healthy and secure lifestyles. These services include Home Delivered Meals, Non-Medical Companion Services, Wesbury LifeAid- an Around-the-Clock Personalized Emergency Response System, Housekeeping Services, and Medication Management Services.
