About Crawford Gives Day

Crawford Gives Day is a program of the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation

The inaugural Crawford Gives day will take place for twenty-four hours on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. This special one-day fundraising event, primarily driven by digital media, allows generous people and businesses the opportunity to support nonprofit organizations that are helping meet the needs of our community.

Participating nonprofits will be rewarded for their participation and success. We are in the process of building a pool of money to match on a percentage basis every gift made by credit card on Crawford Gives Day. The match pool currently stands at $30,000.

Crawford Gives Day will provide a platform for participating nonprofits to share their stories, connect with new donors and become skillful in digital fundraising. They will gain knowledge to will help them build capacity for their organization, develop stewardship and grow their donor base.

Crawford Gives Day will also become a gateway for people to connect to causes doing good work in areas they care passionately about.

Donors can select multiple nonprofits to give to within the same transaction, and also allocate different amounts to each nonprofit selected. Gifts received through Crawford Gives are fully tax deductible donations under applicable federal and state laws.

Similar to giving campaigns in larger markets like Erie and Pittsburgh donations will be prorated so the giving goes even further. Thanks to the generosity of Acutec Precision Aerospace, Inc., who is the Presenting Sponsor and an anonymous donor all gifts received on Crawford Gives day will have additional prorated amounts combined with the donation to make the impact of the donation even larger.

Interested 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations must register to participate by completing a Memorandum of Understanding that sets forth the services and duties expected from the collaborative. Contact Christian Maher, executive director the of the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation for a copy of the form. He can be reached by phone at 814-336-5206 or email executive@crawfordheritage.org.
