Timber Ridge Child Care Center

Goal: $1,000.00

Specific Need

We are currently renting a facility in Conneautville. We have outgrown the size of our current building and consistently have a wait list of children who need services. We have been blessed with the ability to purchase a building down the street from our current location for a low cost. As the facility we purchased was previously a convent we are in the process of rennovating. This has become a large undertaking.  We also understand that many people are in need of child care and are unable to find suitable child care and we want to be able to provide this.  We are within a few months of opening the new program.  We are in need of just a few things to finish this long awaited facility opening.

We are using the funds raised from the Crawford Gives initiative towards a natural playground. With the constant use of technology and high paced life everyone leads we want to bring a calming, relaxed, and inviting natural environment to our children. We are able to do this at our new facility. The new property houses several acres of yard and wooded areas. These areas will be fenced in and contain natural materials to play with and explore, such as trees, wood cookies, water, sand, dirt, a bike track, and other materials.

Mission

Timber Ridge Child Care Center is a nonprofit program that provides quality care and education to young children in order to promote success in school and in life. It is our goal to develope a lifelong love of learning in every child. We provide a nurturing environment that celebrates and supports the diversity of each family within the community.

Profile

Timber Ridge is a nonprofit child care facility in Conneautville, PA. We service not only Conneautville, but the surrounding communities as well. A large portion of the families we work with are low income families. We work with children from 6 weeks to 9 years of age. We currently serve and always have helped children who may otherwise fall through the cracks. We are able to work with the family to find stability and assist them by providing the resources that they need as they work through the job process and get back on their feet. We also provide food, blankets, clothing, and other things a child or family might need if there is an emergency or disaster such as a fire.

We have included photos of play areas that we are looking to implement in our new facility. We have also included pictures of the facility itself so that you may see the work in progress.
