Specific Need
Programming & Enrichment for Older Adults. A hot meal may bring someone through our doors, but it's the friendships, laughter, and sense of belonging that keep them coming back. We believe staying healthy involves more than physical wellness – it also means staying socially connected, mentally engaged, and actively involved in the community.
At the Titusville Senior Center, programs like crafts, gardening, bingo, live music, games, healthy lifestyle and educational classes, special events, exercise classes and community outings provide far more than entertainment – they provide opportunities for friendship, learning, recreation, fun and improve quality of life for older adults in our community. Participation helps reduce isolation, encourages lifelong learning, supports mental and emotional well-being, and gives older adults something to look forward to each week.
Funds raised through Crawford Gives will help us provide the supplies, materials, entertainment, transportation, and program support needed to offer these enriching activities throughout the year. Whether it's a senior learning a new craft, singing along to favorite songs from their youth, enjoying a day trip with friends, or simply sharing a laugh during a game of bingo, these moments have a lasting impact.
Donations received during Crawford Gives will help support wellness, recreation, lifelong learning, and other programming – including opportunities offered through our new 'Tiny but Mighty' Fitness Center, so that local seniors have opportunities to stay engaged, connected, and involved in a welcoming community where they are valued and supported.
Mission
The mission of the Titusville Area Senior Citizens Corporation is to assure that older adults, remain active, independent, healthy and involved in the community.
Profile
At the Titusville Senior Center, we believe aging should never mean isolation. We've been serving the Titusville area since 1959, providing older adults opportunities to stay active, engaged, informed, and connected to their community.
For many participants, the Center is a second home – a place to build friendships, find purpose and belonging, maintain independence, and find a sense of community. Whether they are enjoying a nutritious lunch, participating in an exercise class, learning a new skill, attending an educational program, joining a game or craft activity, or simply sharing a cup of coffee with friends, the Center helps older adults maintain their independence and quality of life.
Your donation helps us provide affordable programs and activities that enrich the lives of local seniors. Contributions support things like health and wellness programs, exercise classes, educational speakers, arts and crafts, games and social activities, technology and digital literacy opportunities, special events, transportation assistance, and the many day-to-day programs that keep our Center vibrant and welcoming.
As demand for services continues to grow, community support is more important than ever. Last year alone, we served thousands of meals and welcomed hundreds of visits from older adults seeking connection, companionship, and opportunities to remain active in the community. Every gift – large or small – helps ensure that local seniors have a place where they can remain active, independent, healthy, and involved in the community.
