Timber Ridge Child Care Center

Goal: $3,500.00

Specific Need

We are extreamly greatful for all of your dontaions from 2025 Crawford Gives that we were able to add a music wall, water wall, gazebo and a homemade mud kitchen for our children to be able to explore, create, and problem solve. These new additions have been a huge attraction and are enjoyed by our children daily. This years goal we would love to add more safe outdoor nature climbing apparatuses to our natural playground and we would also love to use our funds raised to be able to offer more free childcare to those parents who are in need. With your donations we can make this possible!

Mission

Hope Lives Here!

Timber Ridge Program Inc. is a nonprofit, nature-based early childhood education program dedicated to ensuring that every child—regardless of income or circumstance—has access to exceptional care, education, and opportunity.

More than half of the children we serve receive completely free care and education. Beyond the classroom, we support families experiencing homelessness, care for children facing serious medical challenges, provide weekend food backpacks, connect families with clothing and community resources, and offer child care while parents search for employment. We believe in empowering families with dignity, compassion, and hope—not through handouts, but through opportunities that create lasting change.

Our mission extends beyond preparing children for kindergarten. We prepare them for life by nurturing curiosity, resilience, confidence, kindness, and a lifelong love of learning through meaningful connections with nature and caring educators.

Profile

Where Hope Begins

As the morning sun rises over Timber Ridge, little boots splash through dew-covered grass. Children chase butterflies, discover salamanders beneath fallen logs, plant gardens, and learn that the world is full of wonder. For many children this is simply another beautiful day. For others, it is a new beginning. Some arrive from families experiencing homelessness. Some are bravely battling cancer or other serious illnesses. Some have parents desperately searching for employment. Some quietly carry burdens far too heavy for little shoulders.

When they walk through our doors, we don't see poverty, illness, or hardship—we see children full of promise. At Timber Ridge, more than half of the children we serve receive completely free care and education. We provide weekend food backpacks, connect families with clothing and community resources, care for children during family crises, and even provide child care while parents search for employment because every family deserves dignity and every child deserves opportunity. We don't believe in handouts—we believe in hand-ups.

Hope Lives Here.

At Timber Ridge exceptional children deserve exceptional educators. That is why Timber Ridge invests not only in children—but in those who care for them. We proudly provide opportunities for free college education for every member of our staff. When teachers continue learning, every child benefits. By helping educators grow professionally, we strengthen classrooms, improve educational quality, and ensure that children continue receiving the very best care possible. It's another way we invest in the future of our community.
