Every second counts in a cardiac emergency, and having the right equipment can mean the difference between life and loss.

Funds from Crawford Gives will help EmergyCare purchase advanced cardiac monitors, each costing approximately $60,000. These lifesaving devices allow our paramedics to quickly assess heart rhythms, deliver defibrillation when needed, and transmit critical data directly to hospitals, giving patients the best possible chance before they even arrive at the emergency room.

With more than 81,000 calls each year, our crews rely on this technology every day to care for neighbors, friends, and loved ones across our community. But as equipment ages and technology advances, replacing these monitors is both urgent and costly. Without community support, critical upgrades can be delayed, putting lives at risk when time matters most.

EmergyCare in Crawford County

EmergyCare’s direct involvement in Crawford County began in September 2003, when the organization responded to a request for assistance from Titusville Ambulance Service. At that time, EmergyCare acquired the local service’s operations to ensure continued, reliable EMS coverage for the region. This transition was made to protect an uninterrupted emergency response for residents and to stabilize EMS operations in the area.

In 2026, EmergyCare expanded its footprint into Western Crawford County following the acquisition of the Conneaut Lake Ambulance Service. Effective May 11, 2026, this expansion added a new operational service area and strengthened EMS coverage across the western portion of the county.

North Shenango Township

Sadsbury Township

Since 2003, EmergyCare has remained deeply integrated into the Crawford County community. Crews are locally based, trained to meet the specific needs of rural EMS response, and routinely collaborate with:

Volunteer fire departments

Hospitals and healthcare partners

Schools, daycares, and community organizations

EmergyCare staff regularly participate in community education, safety events, and outreach programs, reinforcing trust and visibility within the county.

As of 2026, EmergyCare continues to provide advanced life-saving care across Crawford County, including:

24/7 emergency ambulance response

Advanced Life Support (ALS) and paramedic intercept services

Mutual aid and secondary coverage for surrounding municipalities
