Mission

Celebration Meadville brings the community together to honor and recognize the many individuals, organizations, nonprofits, churches, schools, businesses, public servants, first responders, volunteers, and community leaders whose dedication helps make Meadville and the surrounding communities welcoming, compassionate, and vibrant places to live.

Founded through the vision and leadership of the Meadville Branch of the NAACP, Celebration Meadville has grown into a cherished community tradition that celebrates unity, diversity, service, and hope. It is a day where people of every age, race, nationality, culture, faith, and background come together to celebrate what unites us and to strengthen the bonds that make our community thrive.

The celebration welcomes residents from throughout Crawford County and neighboring communities and provides an opportunity for nonprofits, civic organizations, educational institutions, healthcare providers, businesses, neighborhood groups, local government, law enforcement, and community partners to share resources, build relationships, and inspire collaboration.

Guests enjoy live entertainment, cultural performances, children’s activities, free food, educational exhibits, health and wellness information, community resources, and opportunities to connect with organizations making a positive impact throughout the region.
