Specific Need

Since 1961, Meadville Cooperative Preschool has been giving Crawford County's youngest learners a place to grow, discover, and thrive. Today, we're beginning an exciting new chapter in our forever home at Cussewago Square, and we need your help to finish building a playground that our children deserve.

Thanks to generous grant funding, we've secured the playground equipment itself. Now, we need our community's help to bring the project across the finish line.

Your Crawford Gives donation will directly support the remaining costs to complete the playground, including:

Safe-fall playground surfacing to protect children as they climb, run, and explore.
The remaining infrastructure and installation needed to safely complete the playground and open it for daily use.

Outdoor play is an essential part of early childhood education. It builds confidence, strengthens motor skills, encourages creativity, and helps children develop the social and emotional skills they'll carry throughout their lives.

Our Crawford Gives goal is to raise $15,000 to help complete this transformational project. Every gift, no matter the amount, moves us closer to opening a playground that will serve Meadville Cooperative Preschool families for decades to come. Together, we can create a safe, inspiring outdoor space where children will learn, play, and make lifelong memories.

Mission

The mission of Meadville Cooperative Preschool is to provide a quality, nurturing environment in which to foster a child’s natural ability to learn and to grow; physically, socially and emotionally. We do this by encouraging each child to think and explore their environment through the use of language, social integration and intellectual stimulation.

Profile

Meadville Cooperative Preschool has been administered by the parents of preschool students since 1961. It is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) with a maximum STAR 4 rating from Keystone STARS.

Meadville Cooperative Preschool an independent, non-profit, non-discriminatory, non-sectarian organization. Our preschool depends on tuition and the proceeds from fund-raising activities for our income.
