Specific Need

The generous donations from organizations such as Crawford Gives enabled our team to purchase our own building 2 years ago. We were previously renting space in Crawford County to house our mobile equipment and other equipment used by our team. We now houe our Mobile Command Vehicle, SARI, our boat for water searches, our side by side to assist in our rescue operations in a search and the equipment our team uses in our building. We are working to add additioonal storage, room for educational opportunities, furnishings such as tables, chairs for meetings and informal public open houses we would host to continue to educate our community on our services and ability to serve those in need and " to help bring loved ones home". We are looking to add water service and restrooms in the building . We recently installed a furnace and the propane hook up from donations received specifically for this purpose. Monies received from this organization wil contrinue to allow us to add these improvements and others as necessary.

Mission

Northwest Pennsylvania K-9 Search and Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization which provides support for police and fire departments during incidents involving missing persons. We serve Crawford, Erie, Forest, Mercer, Warren, and Venango Counties in Northwestern Pennsylvania. Our canine teams are trained in live find searches and human remains detection on land or in water. We are also ready to respond to searches following natural or man-made disasters. It is our mission to assist local emergency agencies in rescue and recovery missions any time day or night and use our expertise to help locate and bring home missing and lost loved ones.
