Specific Need

Our Fire department is in need of funds to purchase new turnout gear and SCBAs for several of our volunteer fire fighters. The average cost of new gear is well over $10,000.00 per fire fighter. Turnout gear must be replaced every 10 years, per state regulations.

Mission

East Mead Volunteer Fire Company No. 1's mission is to serve the residents of East Mead Township and all surrounding townships with fire and EMS protection.

Established in 1948, East Mead Volunteer Fire Company 1 provides primary fire and EMS protection for East Mead Township in Crawford County, PA. Our firefighters also respond to provide mutual aid assistance to neighboring fire companies including our surrounding mutual aid companies such as West Mead 1, West Mead 2, Meadville Central, Cochranton, Vernon Central, Blooming Valley, Randolph, Saegertown, and other companies in Crawford County and Venango County.
