House of Hope (CIHR)

Specific Need

We have many on-going needs at House of Hope. We supply a portion of the daily meals for the women. We are in constant need of toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, laundry supplies, hand & dish soap, kitchen garbage bags, foil, baggies, cleaning supplies, and sometimes supplies for children, notebooks, personal, hygeine products and office supplies. Donations would also be used to purchase gift cards as incentives for participants. For our house of hope thrift store we have on going needs as well. Cleaning supplies, paper goods, garbage bags, office supplies. As a non-funded program, we pay rent for the store and living facility. We privately fund for counseling to come to our facility as well as mileage expenses to transport women to various appointments. 

Mission

To empower each woman to overcome obstacles and achieve self-sufficiency by transforming her life through setting a new direction and a new purpose. We help women integrate back into the community by establishing bonds with local businesses, churches and organizations. 

Profile

House of Hope is a faith-based 501C(3) non-profit, transitional program that provides long-term support and a home for women in need of guidance, safety, and structure as they work to overcome various obstacles and gain new hope and purpose. There have been over 70 women who have come through our long-term transitional home since it was established in 2010. The slogan: Women helping Women is true at HOH--we grow together, cry together as we build valuable relationships in Christ realizing that Father God is the Author and Finisher of our Faith.
