Specific Need

During this year’s Crawford Gives (August 19th - 21st), we invite you to contribute to a cause very dear to our hearts: the Norman Fund. We continue this emergency funding program in loving honor of our cherished friend to provide crucial support when all other options have been exhausted.

Norman met us every day with his signature wave and giant grin, becoming a true beacon of positivity. We carry on his spirit by meeting our neighbors when and where they need it most, empowering them to make a fresh start with confidence and dignity. Just one moment of timely support can turn into years of stability and sustainable growth for a recipient. In the past year alone, the Norman Fund has supported 30 community members with essential needs, including:

Hotel stays when shelters are at capacity
Clothing and shoes
Nutritious food and meals
Bus tickets to safely reunite with family and friends
Birth certificates and IDs

Mission

Since 1988, CHAPS has been dedicated to providing mental health and housing supports to promote resiliency, recovery, and connectivity. Our core belief is that recovery is possible - but we also know this does not happen without a strong and supportive community.
