Specific Need

We are very excited to be moving into our new center in Cussewago Square this August! With this new building will come a new playground! We are hoping for donations to help add to the playground that we are installing and to help purchase some new materials for the children to enjoy in the new space.

Mission

The Meadville Children’s Center is a Keystone 4 Star facility dedicated to providing your children with year-round care from 6 weeks old to 12 years old. MCC was founded on the simple belief that childcare is for everyone, and where there was a lack of childcare in Crawford County, MCC was created to provide the community with a much needed service.  As a result, MCC does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations. Profile

The Meadville Children's Center has always believed in following play-based methods of teaching to provide the ideal learning environment for our children. Evidence shows that children benefit from structured lesson plans throughout each day, and our teachers work hard to put together a curriculum for each year to ensure each classroom is promoting early childhood education and development. Not only do our teachers come up with a yearly curriculum, but they also have dedicated planning time each week to revise lessons, adjust weekly goals, and tailor their teaching to the needs of each student.
