Goal: $15,000.00
Specific Need
We are in need of a new Brush truck to replace our current 1989 Brush Truck. Funds are needed to continually update and maintain our existing equipment to better respond and serve our communities.
Mission
The purpose of the Department is to provide fire protection to all persons within the Department's fire district, for which we are contracted to serve.Profile
Proudly serving our community since 1932.
The Cochranton Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1932 to provide fire protection to the citizens of the community. A few years later the Ambulance Service was established to provide emergency medical services as well. Over the years, the department has grown to provide fire and emergency medical services to over 300 square miles, 3 counties and 10 townships to include, French Creek Township, Canal Township, Wayne Township, Fairfield Township, Greenwood Township, East Fairfield Township, Cochranton Borough and to the neighboring townships when requested. The Department averages 500 calls per year all on a volunteer basis. We are always accepting applications for new volunteers and when we obtain new volunteers it is costly to outfit them with all the up to date gear/equipment that they need to safely respond to emergencies. If you would like to volunteer whether it be as a First Responder or behind the scenes there are many opportunities in our department. You can obtain an application by emailing cochrantonfire@outlook.com or calling (814)425-2111. Thank you for your continued support.
