Cochranton's public cemetery is located on the hill, east of the bourgh. The tranquil setting is the final resting place for generations of citizens that have been Cochranton's most improtant resource; Its People. The cemetery was offically chartered on February 15, 1860. Major changes were made to the cemetery in the 1920's. The present-day cemetery contains (43) acres divided into (28) sections. There is also ample undeveloped property allowing for future expansion.
Profile
Over the years, the head caretaker has insured the cemetery maintains its appearnce. The grounds are a tribute to the past generations that shared this community. Today the board of directors ensures that a high standard of care is still taken with the grounds.
