Specific Need
CARE, Cochranton Area Redevelopment Effort, has met with considerable success tackling the planning and implementation of several community improvements over the years. With your support, new monies will be used to construct a concert stage, replace pavilion 3 and 4 roofs, sponsoring free Music in the Park concerts, historical speaker series presentations, Light Up Night, and a Medicare/Health fair.
Mission
The corporate purpose of CARE is to foster a broad range of improvements in the Cochranton area through revitalization initiatives in the areas of:
community planning • beautification •support for enhanced medical services • development of senior housing facilities •historical preservation •advancement of the arts
CARE will pursue these objectives, in full accordance with the guidelines set forth by IRS 501c(3), by providing planning, organizational, managerial and financial resources in support of targeted redevelopment initiatives.

Continuing the enhancement, expansion, and upgrades to Lions Park including trees, trails upgrades and maintenance, and recreational additions

Sponsoring thirteen Music In The Park/Iris Theatre concerts

Added new benches and a Free Little Library to the park

Arranged for the planting of trees along the main street; secured a grant of 60 trees for the park, schools and fairgrounds

Fostered development of the French Creek access point for kayaks and canoes

Facilitated the agreement with Hudson Co. to build affordable senior housing in town; Adams Place is a huge success

Supported fundraising events for the replacement of the Home Show Building at the Cochranton Fairground

Continuiing to provide programming for the senior residents of Adams Place; including a special St Patrick's Day concert

Secured 2 PA Historical Markers at Cochranton Landing; maintain boat launch and picnic area along French Creek
