Specific Need
Since our beginning, Bridge Studios has continued to grow every year! When we first opened our doors in 2020, we had one instructor and 19 students (taking guitar lessons only). To date, we have nine instructors (including three student instructors), have given over 19,834 lessons, have provided 2,961 scholarship lessons, and have expanded from just guitar lessons to teaching guitar, bass, ukulele, piano, flute, violin, cello, voice, beginner band, drums, and more. We’re so thankful that we’ve been able to serve this community for the last six years at our current location, but we’ve outgrown the space and are in need of a larger facility.
To that end, we’re very excited to announce that we recently closed on our own building and are in the process of renovations right now! Our new building, located at 227 West Spring Street in Titusville, is right around the corner from where we are now.
This new facility will provide more than three times the space of our current location and will allow us to significantly expand our programming and outreach. Our current performance area only seats approximately 55 people, which often forces us to limit the number of performers in a show or divide performances into multiple segments due to seating limitations. Our new facility has a seating area that’s almost three times as large, holding up to 150 people (with a stage that’s over twice the size of our stage now). Our current location has 4 studio rooms, but the new facility will have 5-6 studio rooms, a larger waiting/seating area, expanded instrument sales space, larger music camp capabilities, additional space for Fernwood Music instrument repair services, and future opportunities to incorporate dance and choreography into our music performances. We’re very excited about the opportunities this new location will provide for us and our students!
We would value your contribution to our growth and expansion! There have been many costs associated with the purchase of a building and transition into a new space, and support from our community is such a gift to us as we strive to be a gift to you. Thank you!
Mission
Connecting People to Purpose through MusicProfile
For You. For the Community. Bridge Studios is a gift for you and for the community. Our desire is to make music learning affordable and inspiring for anyone and everyone. Bridge Studios offers private lessons, practice instruments, practice rooms, instrument sales, music workshops, summer music camps, student band oppertunities, and student performance events.
Celebrating Our Students’ Achievements. We have a passion to use music education as a means to help individuals thrive, and to celebrate them and their accomplishments. As a community outreach, we want to make music education accessible to people of all income levels. We network with area instructors and organizations who believe in using music training to enrich people’s lives and motivate our young people toward meaningful pursuits.
Our students have many opportunities to showcase their musical growth through performances held year round. Some students also participate in our student bands, giving them valuable experience performing and collaborating with others. Besides our “in house” performances, we have four different community events our students participate in. One of these is held on the second Friday of July, in which Bridge Studios hosts “Party in the Park” at the Scheide Park. This free community event includes live music from our bands, face painting, a bounce house, games, popcorn, ice cream, food vendors, and gifts donated by local businesses. It is one of the many ways we strive to give back to the Titusville community. To learn more about us, here is a video of our founder and director, David Southwick, sharing in a recent interview about our heart for Bridge Studios and the community (and talking about this summer's "Party in the Park"): click here to watch.
Purpose and Fulfillment. Bridge Studios is a nonprofit organization with a mission to help people find purpose and fulfillment through learning and enjoying music.
