Profile

The CCSAE , a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, organization, opened its doors at 262 Chestnut Street, in the early spring of 2019.  Since that time, our all-volunteer staff has instructed three rotations of our “Work Readiness and Communication”(WoRC) course.  Students who completed the 8-week course were certified by CCSAE as work-ready and automatically qualified for our “Beyond” course that focuses on their personal vision and helps them develop a realistic strategy to achieve their personal and professional goals.

The school also offers a complete bank of GED courses.   In addition, our staff is currently providing individualized English as Second Language (ESL) as well as reading in preparation for the ASVAB.  As part of the application process, prior to entering any of our programs, applicants were administered the General Assessment of Instructional Needs to further individualize student instruction. CCSAE also provides students with opportunities to obtain certifications such as ServSafe, CPR, and Basic First Aid. It is the policy of CCSAE that students will incur no costs for any application, assessment,  program or certifications offered. Your donations will help to provide scholarships to any Crawford County student who is admitted to our program. All WoRC students are required to complete 2 hours of community service.

Our mantra as an organization is “Self-Family-Community.”  We want to first serve the individual students and attend to their specific needs. We believe in a whole-student approach and want to develop and  build on students’ unique talents.

We believe that there is no problem that we can’t overcome if we work together as a team.  We welcome community involvement.  We currently have a very diverse group of volunteers and would like to grow that list even more.   We are as passionate as ever for the next year. Our mission remains: “ To provide quality education, services and learning opportunities that will change lives and foster civic engagement.”
