Titusville Council on the Arts

Specific Need

We are looking for support to keep our main events alive and growing in the Titusville area.

  • Movies in the Park This is a new event for TCA this year.  Our goal this summer has been to offer safe and socially distant activities for our community and Movies in the Park has turned into just that! While practicing social distancing, families get to come out on Friday nights and enjoy newly released movies under the stars at no charge!
  • Concerts in the Park This event is by far a community favorite. We have been able to bring FREE concerts to our historical Scheide Park on Monday nights for many years throughout the summer.
  • Fine Art Exhibit & Chalk Walk During Oil Fest, the Fine Art Exhibit and Chalk Walk celebrates & showcases local artists with professional judging, cash prizes and ribbons awarded.
  • Titusville Summer Youth Theater Program Youth Theater is an annual musical that takes place in Colestock Auditorium at Titusville High School every summer. Through experiencing all aspects of theater, students, ages 8-15, are given the tools to build leadership, confidence and self-esteem skills, which are proven to lead to better academic performance. We have an average of 60 students participate each year.

Mission

The mission of the Titusville Council on the Arts (TCA) is to stimulate, encourage, expand and support the practice, appreciation and understanding of the arts among all residents. The goal of Titusville Council on the Arts is to bring high-quality arts programming to Titusville that is accessible and affordable for each and every community member.

Profile

For over 30 years TCA has been dedicated to keeping the arts alive and growing in Titusville.  Throughout the year, we look to grow and expand such programs as Youth Theater, Concerts in the Park, Movies in the Park, Holiday Concert, Fine Art Exhibit and Chalk Walk, and more.

This year, more than ever, we have noticed just how important the arts have been to people during these trying times.  Our goal is to continue to adapt to this every changing world to continue to offer arts and culture to the community.

"If you think artists are useless, try to spend your quarantine without music, books, poems, movies, and paintings." -Unknown
