Specific Need

Emergency rescues, in addition to regular intakes are quite costly for a small nonprofit organization such as SLURP. We are nowhere near what we want to be, but we are making a huge impact in local communities. Not afraid to take on the hard cases, we often have a need for both emergency vet care and basic necessities for the care of our rescue critters. Operating solely on community donations, you make every rescue possible and give a second chance to every animal at SLURP Rescue.

We ask you to consider helping the small organizations like SLURP grow so that we may become a bigger resource for both animals & the community.

Mission

SLURP is dedicated to helping neglected, abused, abandoned, and unwanted animals in our community. With strong emphasis on spay and neuter programs to help regulate the stray/feral cat population in our communities. Community involvment, pet owner education and kid/student programs are all very important to us.

Profile

Slurp is a growing 501 C3 non-profit, no kill animal rescue organization. Operated 100% by volunteers.

Services are provided to Crawford, Venango, Warren and Forest counties. With our main office located in Titusville PA. Our services have been extended as far as OH and NY if situation requires.

Providing Animal Rescue Services to those in need, trapping feral colonies, animal rehabilitation, adoption services, Community Education,Junior rescue/mentoring and offering animals a sanctuary if they are considered unadoptable. At our facility, those considered unadoptable, receive the care and love needed until they pass. SLURP places an emphasis on the importance of spay and neuter as well as community education.

SLURP believes in helping other rescues and Community organizations in anyway possible to ensure the success of all and strive to always go above and beyond to help both animals and people in need.

Those that follow us know that the last couple years have been incredibly difficult. Since the passing of the founder's father, we've unfortunately experienced passing of volunteers due to health, passing of multiple Financial contributors, had to Temporary closed doors to Thrift Store which donates 100% of funds to animals at shelter, and latest situation being our rescue vehicle is experiencing A few much needed repairs. Although it may have slowed us down a bit... we will never quit helping our furry friends in need. Your contributions are the only thing that have allowed us to do what we love and that is helping animals in our community.

The truth is, those situations are very difficult for a small organization. Your support will be a prayer answered. We do not receive funding like the big organizations do. A donation of any amount can help SLURP reach goals beyond your imagination and will continue to benefits all animals, volunteers and people in our community through rescue, rehabilitation, education and support.
