Specific Need
Accessing healthcare in a rural setting like Crawford County can be difficult for many reasons. Meadville Medical Center does everything possible to ensure everyone, regardless of socio-economic status, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation or even local has an opportunity to get the services they need!
Rural Health Centers (RHC) and the care that is provided through these locations is critical. Indiviudals who qualify for services at a RHC could be in serious trouble if they did not have RHCs available to them.
The RHC on Alden Street in Meadville has seen volumes consistenly rising to the point that the facility needs to expand! The location currently has primary care, behavioral health and dental services. After the expansion, these services will be able to see additional patients while meaningfully adding OB/GYN services as well! Administration believes that the expansion of the facility and services will accomodate 100 more visits per week or approximately 5,000 visits a month!
