The mission of Meadville Council on the Arts is to enrich the quality of life and provide arts education opportunities for individuals, organizations, and our communities by supporting the creation, production, promotion and exhibition of the visual, music and performance arts.

Profile

Meadville Council on the Arts began in 1975 by a group of Artists from Meadville and Allegheny College. They had a dream to offer a home to emmerging artists and establish a space for artists to come together; whether it be in the arts, theatre or dance. Located on the second floor of the historic Market House since its founding, MCA has created hundreds of exhibitions, plays, workshops, LIVE perfomances, seminars, and weeekly after school Art classes for students K-12.

MCA remains true to its commitment to provide safe socially-distanced art creation opportunities to children and adults alike. From traditional drawing and painting to non-traditional student performance art events, the Council remains steadfast to its responsibility to the Art you so generously support.
