Profile

Family and Community Association (FCCA), formally known as the YWCA, has been a long standing tradition in Crawford County, first opening its doors more than 100 years ago.  The agency is a non-profit organization that provides services to the community to help those most in need.

Our agency currently provides educational services to over 200 children in 11 locations across Crawford County through the work of our Pre K Counts program.  We offer families a free education for children ages 3-5 whose income allows them to qualify through our Pre K Counts program.  We offer subsidized childcare for children in need through our ELRC program (formerly CCIS).   We help match senior citizens with volunteer senior citizens to assist them with every day needs and companionship.  For decades, we have provided a free Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner to those in need or for those who have no one to share the holidays with.  Traditionally, we serve over 800 Crawford County residents during the holiday season.

We are an agency built and dedicated to serving others.   Our mission statement, “Through Christian Principles, the Family & Community Christian Association meets the needs of families, children, and the community by providing excellent programs and services”, supports our desire to serve others.
